Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
- Contact information: your name, phone number, email address, and property address.
- Project details: a description of your roofing issue, timeline, insurance or payment status, and any notes you share with us.
- Photos you upload of your roof or property.
- Messages you send to Ridge, our AI chat assistant.
- Information in your Client Portal account if you're an existing customer, hosted by our third-party provider, GetProSpace.
Information Collected Automatically
- Device and browser information, approximate location (derived from IP address), pages viewed, referring site, and general engagement, collected through Google Analytics.
- Advertising and interaction data collected through the Meta Pixel (see below).
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies.
Information From Third Parties
- Address verification and roof-measurement data from Google Maps Platform (Places, Geocoding, and Solar APIs), used to generate a rough estimate.
- Bot-detection and security signals from Cloudflare Turnstile.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide a rough price estimate and respond to your inquiry.
- To contact you about your project by phone, email, or text.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Site, our chat assistant, and our services.
- To send you information you've requested, such as estimate results.
- To comply with legal, licensing, and insurance obligations.
- For marketing analytics and ad measurement, as described below. We do not use your information to send unsolicited marketing text messages.
Our AI Chat Assistant, "Ridge"
- Ridge is an artificial intelligence tool — not a human, and not a licensed roofing professional.
- Messages you send to Ridge are processed using a third-party AI service provider, OpenRouter, which may route requests to underlying model providers (such as Anthropic) to generate a response. That processing is governed by those providers' own privacy policies.
- Please don't send highly sensitive information through the chat — such as a Social Security number or full financial account or credit card numbers. Ridge doesn't need that information to give you a rough estimate.
- If you submit your contact information at the end of a chat, a summary of your conversation is saved as part of your lead record so our team can follow up informed. If you use the chat without submitting your contact information, we do not save a transcript of that conversation in our own systems — though each message you send is still processed in real time by our AI provider to generate a response, and anonymized usage statistics (for example, how many messages were exchanged, or how far through the process a conversation got) are collected through the analytics tools described below.
Advertising & Analytics Tools
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our Site — pages viewed, general engagement, and events like button clicks or estimate requests. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technology. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings.
Meta (Facebook) Pixel
We use the Meta Pixel on our Site to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to show relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram. The Meta Pixel may use "Automatic Advanced Matching," which can share a hashed (non-readable) version of information you provide us — such as your email address or phone number — with Meta, to help match ad performance to the people who actually reach out to us. Meta's use of this information is governed by Meta's Privacy Policy. - Service providers who perform functions on our behalf: our website hosting provider, database provider, email provider (for lead notifications), OpenRouter (AI chat processing), Google (maps, analytics, and advertising), Meta (advertising), Cloudflare (security), and GetProSpace (our Client Portal).
- Financing partners: if you express interest in financing, we may share limited contact information with our third-party financing partner, GreenSky, or discuss in-house financing with you directly. Any financing application you submit is subject to that lender's own privacy practices and credit approval process.
- As required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
- In connection with a business transfer — such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — subject to standard confidentiality obligations.
Data Retention
We retain lead and project information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, maintain business records, and comply with legal, accounting, licensing, and insurance obligations. If you'd like us to delete information we have about you, contact us using the information below and we will make reasonable efforts to do so, except where we're required or permitted to keep it — for example, records of a completed job or signed contract.
